This is the view to the south at my studio. This field never looks the same. I could paint it a thousand times over and the landscape, colors, and atmosphere are always changing. Golden hour is one of my favorite times. The metal barn reflects a striking orange color while the shadows look purple. I have watched those old barns deteriorate over the past 18 years and it makes me sad, but it also compels me to capture those old relics before they are gone.
