Something about roads, paths and rivers that lead you into the horizon or forests appeal to me. I love painting them and pondering where they lead and what I might encounter along the way. Distance, depth and atmosphere are what I pursue in these paintings. My husband and I enjoy finding the lonely roads, parking, and then he waits patiently for me to sketch. This feeds my soul.
